What Drives My Life

As you or anyone cares to know, there are three phenomena that drive my life. The first, the supreme and the eternal governing council of my life is God-His will and purpose for my life. The other two drivers of my life which are subject to the first always and perpetually are: identified inspiration to become a Medical Doctor and the soothing, elevating and motivating balm which the sound of good music provides as it was with King David in the Bible and in the memories of Jim Reeves who died in a plane crash about 50 years ago.
Yes, flowing from the template of my knowledge, understanding, belief and faith in God, I know(without much ado and with emphasis) and rejoice with soaring and riveting gratitude that God is my Creator and Redeemer. No doubt, the precious doctrines and persuading admonitions of my parents have made me to know that my conception, growth in my mother's womb to safe delivery couldn't have been if not for God's grace and favour.
Forthwith, without controversy, I have gracefully learnt from the cradle that God in his infinite wisdom, his boundless love and ominipotent power has guided and guarded purpose for my life. Hence, the truth- "Except the Lord builds the house (even mine), the labourers labour in vain, [Psalm 127:1] has been the pilot of my life. Jeremiah 29:11-13 also reminds me that the purpose of God for my life is of peace and not of evil to bring me to the expected end(s) at every turning point of my life's experience(s) to date.I know that whatever God does shall be forever; nothing can be added to, neither can anything be taken from it and God does it that men should fear before him.
Undoubtedly, by some tokens of my life's experiences, I have been privileged and inspired to identify and be led to a suitable ambition for my life. The purpose(which exists in the empire of the first- God and his will) and indeed a second firing driver of my life is to become a Medical Doctor, a Paediatrician   to be specific. My inspiration to become a doctor started as a childhood fantasy but became my dream and ambition  due to some of my life experiences. I will mention a few.
First, Medical Doctors and other supporting para-medicals were involved in the safe delivery of my birth.
Second, two medical-related challenges of my life would have deformed and/or even taken my life but for God's provision of  Medical Doctors and para- medicals. One, when I   was about two years old, I fell down, hit my head and fainted. It was a messy, painful and trying situation for my parents and I, according to them. It was a Medical doctor[Dr Lawrence Ajaiyeoba] and his staff Nurses who helped to bring me back to normalcy. But for their timely  intervention, I could have died or had psychatric problems. Two, a more  devastating experience was when I  had dental infections(prompted by a long-time broken inscissor) which virtually reshaped the configuration of my head to delibitating, life-threatening posture in 2009. i can't even forget the pains and agony I went through back then. This time, it was also dental medical doctors that came to my  restorative rescue.
Third, in relation to the foregoing, my soul is prompted to get well-trained as a medical doctor to give back to mankind and the professionals that God had used to rescue the members of my family and I at one time or the other.
Fourth, I am also driven by the worth of medical profession because wherever human beings exist in this sin-sick world, medical doctors and allied professionals are perpetually needed to offer preventive and curative therapy(ies).
As stated earlier, the third driver of my life (also contigent on the first) is music.  I have indeed found music to refresh my spirit and my mental faculty, apart from invigorating my body prior to, and after every day's mental and physical tasks or labour. Indeed, my life has been greatly influenced by the endearing lyrics,  rhythms, singing and orchestration of great hymns, anthems, classicals and country music by: Isaac Watts(o GOd our help in ages past); Malthie D. B Babcock (This is my father's world); Christy Lane(One day at a time); Fanny J. Crosby(Jesus keep me near the cross); Charles A. Tindley(Nothing between my soul and the Saviour).....
No doubt, Late Jim Reeves classic  country music has not only caught my fancy but has indeed captivated my heart on the podia of faith, forgiveness, morals, love, nature, inspiration and hope.
Yes, the momentum of my drive or carriage by music had a foremost accentuated, graphic painting in August 2011- when within four weeks, I had learnt how to play the piano and the violin and was considered good enough to play a duet with violin at the culmulating summer music school concert held at the Arts Theatre , University of Ibadan on 26th August, 2011.
In conclusion, I declare: "I live and am always driven by  God, his will- whose love, kindness, inspiration, wisdom and power lead, galvanise and propel all my daily - sum of where I am found, what I do towards becoming a Medical  Doctor and an accomplished pianist and violinist".
Yes! It is upon these three drives that I have fulfilment and satisfaction. Although other things inspire me such as writing poems but they don't drive my life.
Thanks for caring to know about me .
